Press Conference and Rally to Support Veterans’ Access to Marijuana
Tomorrow, Sensible Colorado and local veterans will submit an official petition to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, calling on it to add Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) to the list of qualifying conditions for medical marijuana in Colorado. Click HERE or visit http://www.denverpost.com/headlines/ci_15444920 to read a great column about this issue from today’sDenver Post. You can also find a piece on the subject by SAFER Director Mason Tvert HERE or by visiting http://tinyurl.com/ycfwa6v.
SAFER is supporting this effort for a variety of reasons. In particular, it is joining this fight because veterans (and others) seeking relief from PTSD all too often turn to alcohol as a means of easing their symptoms because it is currently illegal for them to make the safer choice to use marijuana instead.
Support this important cause at the rally and press conference tomorrow!
